Educational Resources and Infertility Facts
Infertility Overview
Eighty five to ninety percent of couples will become pregnant within one year of trying. The traditional definition of infertility therefore applies to the 10 to 15% of couples who do not conceive in that time. In some specific groups, such as women older than 34 years old, the evaluation for infertility should begin if no pregnancy has occurred after 6 months of trying.
The wide variety of specific causes of infertility can be divided into 4 broad categories:
- Female factors – Ovulation dysfunction, blocked fallopian tubes, uterine abnormalities and others.
- Male factors - Low sperm count, abnormal sperm morphology (shape) etc.
- Unexplained – No specific cause is identified.
- Other – Rare or unusual causes.
At CFG, we have experience in treating all causes of infertility and offer a broad range of services, including IVF, egg freezing, and an egg donation program. We would be happy to sit-down with you and explain these treatments in detail. Please contact us for a consultation at our offices in Tarzana, Bakersfield, Thousand Oaks, or Torrance.
Patients can improve their success rate by learning specific foods to use as fertile medicine and gaining a better understanding of how emotions and stress levels impact both male and female infertility.
The Seed Fertility Program™ is an online program that serves as a resource for patients to learn “Fertile Foods” and “Fertile Thoughts” and improve their fertility at their discretion.
Using the guidance within The Seed Program, patients improve their odds of success.
