AUDRA: We really, really wanted to have a baby. I've known since I was little that I was destined to be a mom. I needed to be a mom. And we had had some-- we had been trying for two years, and nothing was working. We went through the tests with my gynecologist and found out that both of us had some issues. And so we needed to go to the next step, which is the Center for Fertility.
SEAN: It's kind of a crazy thing to find out, you know, like as a guy, to find that sort of thing out is kind of disheartening. Dudes are supposed to just expect to like produce every time and everything is supposed to be amazing, you know, it's just, you know, almost like a macho thing. But I found out with both of us that we were both the problem so it really put it to head that if, you know, I was to see my wife happy with kid, which is something she'd talked about since I first got with her 10 years ago, there were no surprises, so, it was like, all right, we're going to do this. Let's just get it done however it needs to be done and we chose the right people to do it, because they had the right attitude and they're friendly, and helped us out.
AUDRA: The team here made it so unbelievably perfect, because they would explain everything. They would tell us-- they would tell me exactly how the shot is going feel, they would show me how big the needle is, all this before I would go home and do it. And just their directions and them-- just put me at ease a lot more.
When I found out that I was pregnant, I was in the office, I was doing-- they have you do blood work and I thought that I was going to be getting the results at like 2:00 in the afternoon. And I was here at nine in the morning. I didn't know I was going to be taking a urine test, and they tell you right away. So, Dr. comes out, I'm still giving blood, and he says, "Yeah, it's a positive result." I started bawling like a little baby. I never told you this?
SEAN: No.
AUDRA: Yes, it was really bad. I started bawling like a little baby, and I went to Dr. and I said, "Is this normal?" Like I was crying like a banshee and I gave him a hug, he gave me a hug and I mean, it was really just amazing. It was amazing. I didn't think I would ever get to where I was, pregnant, and it was the best feeling ever. I just want to be a mom. We are so thrilled and happy that we came here. Because without the team, without Dr. , we would not be where we are today and I just am so grateful and everything for everyone. It's amazing
SEAN: It's important to remember that, yeah, it's like, Dr. is just a great dude. He's just a solid, knowledgeable dude. He knows what he's talking about and he can definitely verbalize it to you what he's going to do, what's going to happen, what's next. It's like, you know, very helpful guy.
AUDRA: Yeah, he's amazing. I would recommend the Center for Fertility and Gynecology because I'm having a baby. So, obviously, it works.
SEAN: It may not have happened without them, so…
AUDRA: Yep, that's very true.
SEAN: We've got a little one to deal with.
AUDRA: Mm-hmm. It's going to be good.
